Advantage Tennis Academy : Henry Adams Tournaments

For those players wishing to find more competitive opportunities at the club we have many different events which are both challenging and fun.

CLUB EVENTS

ADULTS
Club Matches
There are club fixtures arranged for Mens, Ladies & Veterans teams playing in the Hampshire & I.O.W. and Portsmouth District leagues for both summer and winter play.

Tournaments
The club stages two closed tournaments annually. Events include singles, doubles or mixed doubles and caters for level, handicap and veterans.

JUNIORS
Club Matches
We currently enter 3 leagues each year. Junior National League matches run during the Spring. Summer and Autumn Leagues are organised by the county LTA. Many friendly matches are arranged, both singles and doubles format, to encourage participation by
players with little or no match experience.

Leagues/Ladders/Mini Round Robin
Junior leagues, ladders and round robin events are run throughout the year and encourage competitive matchplay at every level.

Tournaments
The club organises one Open Tournament and one Closed Tournament each year based on age groups. We also enter the LTA 'Road to Wimbledon’ National 14 & Under Event.

ACADEMY COMPETITION GUIDES
Each year a Summer and Winter Competition Guide is produced highlighting dates and times of all events held at the Club. There is a competition for everyone — Starter Tournaments for less experienced, Grand Slam Tournaments for all players in the tennis
programme and Round Robin/Grade 5 Events for more experienced players. Competition Vouchers are welcomed at the following events:-

MINI TENNIS - For mini red, orange & green players.

Starter Tournaments — An ideal event for first timers or less confident players. A big emphasis on team competitions and an introduction to tie-break singles matches. Everyone receives a prize!

Grand Slam Events — All players are welcome to join in these events where the tournament is divided into age groups and trophies are awarded to the group winners.

Round Robin Tournaments — Players are guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 matches in a box league. Winners of each league playoff to determine an event winner.

JUNIOR TENNIS — For players aged 12, 14, 16, & 18 & under.

Monthly Masters Tournaments — Typically held on the last Sunday in each month this event is aimed at our juniors who currently hold a 10.1 or 10.2 rating and require matchplay opportunities to improve their rating.

Grand Slam Events — All players are welcome to join in these events where the tournament is divided into age groups and trophies are awarded to the group winners.

Half Term Grade 5 Events — Players are guaranteed to play 3 matches where results will count towards improving, their rating.

ADULT TENNIS — For all Academy and Club players.

Supper Tournaments — An ideal Way to spend a night of social tennis followed by a meal in the Clubhouse.
